A new residents group is forming in Newcastle to pressure governments to take real action against climate change - Climate Action Newcastle.The meeting is open to all who would like to become involved in the campaign in Newcastle. The meeting will feature a few speakers, and audience discussion. Speakers are:
Dr. Glenn Albrecht, University of Newcastle
Ben Pearson, Greenpeace
Georgina Woods, Hunter Community Environment Centre and Rising Tide Newcastle
The meeting goes from 6:30 to 8:30pm, and will be held at the Joy Cummings Centre, corner of Scott and Pacific Streets, Newcastle East.
