Coal Export Blockade

This morning, a member of climate group Rising Tide Newcastle chained herself to a dump truck, halting work on the Sandgate Rail Flyover, to highlight the development's contribution to human-caused climate change.

The protest coincides with international climate talks happening this week and last in Montreal. Rising Tide is protesting Australia's role underming international efforts to address the causes of climate change.
