MINING AND WATER FORUM 2008

When: Monday 25th August 2008 9:30am for 10:00am start

Where: Environmental Learning Facility Orange Showgrounds, Leeds Parade, ORANGE NSW

A one day public forum to discuss the growing campaign to stop mining companies from damaging regional water supplies, and to compel the NSW Government to place the future of our state's water resources ahead of the interests of mining companies. Western NSW is awash with mines that are threatening scarce water supplies. Locals are battling these mines independent of each other, up against the divide and conquer tactics of mining companies. The forum is an opportunity to come together and seek a common way forward.
