This event is hosted by Rising Tide.

At the end of the hottest year in history, a Rising Tide of everyday people shut down the world’s largest coal port in Newcastle for 32 hours.

If you are interested in the climate crisis, come and revisit the epic People’s Blockade with footage from the beach, the water, and the sky and hear from Rising Tide organisers and blockaders about how this historic event came together.

Watch "The First Wave" - and get ready for the next!

Be inspired by this 20minute film of the 2023 Rising Tide People's Blockade of the World's Biggest CoalPort.

Join us to discuss how you want to respond to the climate crisis, and find out more about how you can be part of the 2024 Blockade and other Rising Tide events this year.

Rising Tide is a grass roots climate justice group building a movement of civil resistance to the fossil fuel industrial complex for a fossil fuel free future.

Tickets are FREE but please register your RSVP below so that we can cater for you and keep you up to date with details.
